Fractals

Artist: Tashya Orasi
Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) Site Researchers:
Dr. Hoi Cheu (site lead), Breezy Beaudry
Medium: Mixed media  & recycled materials
Size: 36 x 30 canvas
Artist’s Statement
The mediums, colours and composition play  with the character of fractals as a metaphor for conceptualizing social accountability in complex health systems. While fractals themselves are used in health care for disease modelling, here they represent a complex mix of systems, networks, and living ecosystems that reflect all or some part of the whole, and the need for connectedness and reflection in social accountability.
